Certified
Graduate Remodeler
TM
The designation, Certified Graduate Remodeler TM (CGR), indicates
that a remodeler has completed the requirements of the CGR
professional credentials program sponsored by the NAHB Remodelers TM
Council. These requirements include educational credits and
certain prescribed standards of business experience and
practices. If your remodeler's name bears the CGR designation,
you can be assured that he or she measures up to the best remodelers
in the country.
The Certified Graduate Remodeler TM (CGR) designation assures you
that your remodeler:
-
Has meet NAHB prescribed standards of
business practice.
-
Has a proven track record of successfully
completed projects.
-
Has completed relevant educational
requirements.
-
Pledges to uphold the CGR Code of Ethics.
In order to maintain the CGR
designation, all CGRs must re-certify every 3 years after their initial
certification. Recertification requirements include attending
remodeling or business related seminars, trade shows, and educational
programs, as well as providing insurance verification.
Obtaining other professional designations also counts towards
recertification. Equally important are letters of
recommendations and financial institutions.
